I am a “Best Bang for my Buck” type of shopper. I often shop for the best deals whether at the grocery store, mall, restaurants or online. However, as much as I would like to be, I am not a coupon clipper. I struggle with remembering to bring them and finding the time to organize them. The few times I have tried to bring them, I end up with a pocket full of wrinkled coupons of ones I am using /not using.
Luckily, there are Smart Phone apps to help us out. These are a few of the ones I use:
Great for: Actually using coupons
Available for: Android, iPhone
No clipping, no binders. This handy app brings hundreds of coupons from major retailers and grocery stores to your phone. At Michael’s? Check if QeoQpons has a coupon for 50% off your crafty purchase — and in most stores, you can just flash your phone at the checkout for the deal. This app is my favorite because you can search by name of the actual store you are standing in.
Great for: Comparing prices
Available for: Android, iPhone, Windows Phone 7
Before you even think about buying that pair of shoes or power drill in person, scan (or manually enter) the product’s bar code: RedLaser spits out the best prices available both online and in shops nearby. Click BUY NOW to go directly to the website with the lowest price or get directions to the local store with the deal.
Great for: Discounts on Everything
Available for: Andriod, iPhone
RetailMeNot shows coupons and deals for both online and in store (very similar to GeoQpons). I often use this website for shopping online too. They even get me discounts on pizza delivery!
How do you use your smart phone to save money? What apps do you use?
